The NCRST-E provides publications about the research plans,
approaches, guidelines, and results of research conducted by
consortium members and associated "Technology Application
Projects". These publications are provided in several categories
that include the following:
Technology Notes (TN):
A short glossy document about two pages
long that provides a high-level introduction to a research project
including basic information about the scope of the effort, the
location of the study, and the general research plan for the project.
The intended audience for the TN series is middle- and upper-
level managers.
Technology Briefs (TB):
A glossy document that is 4 to 6 pages long
that provides general information about a research project, a
discussion of the research opportunities, an overview of objectives
and approaches, and selected aspects of the research plans for
the project. The intended audience for the TB series is the middle-
level manager and the technical user.
Technology
Guides (TG):
A detailed document that is 20 to 30 pages
long that provides users with specific information about data,
processing procedures, limitations of use, recommended practices, and other
guidance that are needed for the applied use of remotely sensed data and
information in a transportation related digital work flow activity.
Annual Synthesis Reports (ASR):
A document that provides an overview
of the consortium and its strategic directions, briefs and notes for
new project efforts; highlights of significant activities, accomplishments,
and results; a discussion of newly acquired data products and the intended
use and limitations of new data products; an overview of research
plans for the next year; and a section for summary and conlusions.
Poster and Handouts (P or H):
Materials that have been developed for
technical sessions, events, trade shows, or for general use.
Consortium Management Documents (CMD):
Material developed for NCRST-E planning and management. Publications planned, currently in development, or completed: Technology Notes (TN)
