Research Team, Partners, and Advisory Panel Meetings

A project kick-off meeting was held at Mississippi State University on September 27 – 28, 2007. The meeting was attended by members of the project team, DOT partners, and members of the Advisory Panel. During the meeting, particpants exchanged information about streamlining initiatives in which they had experience, reviewed the proposed scope of activities for the new project, and conducted brainstorming as well as SWOT analysis to provide feedback and directions for the project.

Preliminary plans were discussed for annual meeting of the group as well as monthly teleconferences to provide updates about the project activities and to gather feedback from team and AP members. Initial plans were discussed for a technical exchange workshop to be held in the late summer of 2008, a project team meeting in the fall of 2008, and a final meeting of the project team, partners, and AP members sometime in the spring of 2009 to present initial findings in preparation for final deliverables and to plan how best to make results and materials available to communities of practitioners.
